Registration for the Congress

All participants and accompanying persons must register for the Congress through the online registration system.

Early registrations are due to 31st May 2020. The late fee will be automatically charged if your payment has not been received by then. Upon receipt of your registration application and payment, the Secretariat will confirm your participation in the congress. You will receive a formal confirmation in due course. If the confirmation mail doesn’t arrive in 24hrs, please contact to the Secretariat by email ( Please check different types of fees and important dates as below.

* The term ‘Students’ which are defined as:

  • Graduate Students who are enrolled on Masters courses directly related to the metal casting and metal-mechanical industry at the time of the abstract submission deadline.
  • All PhD students who are enrolled on their first PhD course at the time of the abstract submission deadline.
  • Researchers who work at universities, research centers, knowledge centers, with less than five years’ experience.
  • In all of the above mentioned cases the candidates must be 35 years old or below.
  • All students must show valid identification at the registration desk.

All payments must be made in KRW . Payments should be made in advance.

Fees must be transferred under the registrant’s name and abstract number. A copy of the receipt of the bank remittance should be sent to the Secretariat by email( Please include your abstract number in the e-mail.

All bank fees for remittance are to be paid by the participant. Please note that registrationfee does not include the foreign account transfer fee, so please be careful not to deduct anyfees from your registration fee.

All cancellations must be made in writing to the Secretariat ( Delegates who do not cancel and do not attend, will still be responsible for the full registration fee.

In case you are unable to attend the Congress, a substitute delegate is welcome at no extra charge. However, the original participant should provide a letter of authorization together with a letter of cancellation to the Secretariat before 18th September 2020. This information should include the name of the substitute delegate.

General Terms and Condition

By completing the registration, the participant accepts the general terms and conditions as well as the cancellation policy and agrees that his/her data may be used, processed and published (e.g. within the list of participants) for organizational purposes of the congress. The participant accepts that Organizer – the Korea Foundry Society will contact him/her by email for organizational matters (e.g. the registration confirmation and invoice) and information related to the congress.

The organization reserves the right to alter the venue if necessary.

In the event that the 74th World Foundry Congress cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the Congress Organizers or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the Congress Organizers, the Congress Organizers cannot be held liable by attendees for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs, financial losses, or any other indirect losses or consequential damages.

Under these circumstances, the Congress Organizers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration fee and to use it for a future congress, or to reimburse the attendee after deducting costs already incurred for the organization of the Congress and which could not be recovered from third parties.

The Organizer does not accept liability for individual medical, travel or personal insurance and participants are strongly advised to make their own arrangements in respect to health and travel insurance.

During the congress, attendees, exhibitors, guests and others may be photographed by the congress organization company or its partners. Parts of these photographs may be displayed in future publications or materials connected with the congress.
